Here's How Much Your Favourite DJs Are Worth

It cannot be denied that dance music has taken over the world. With a number of music festivals and arenas all round the year being sold out by some of the biggest DJs in the game, the genre has truly established its foothold in the music industry.

In a recent piece by Red Bulletin, the article takes a look at the financial worth of some of the DJs who were at the top of their game in 2015, and the results might leave you surprised. Or not.

Coming in at the top, without any surprises, is Calvin Harris. With a value around $160 million, with 77 shows last year and over 13 million likes on Facebook, the Scotsman has been one of the highest earners for a couple of years now. Steve Aoki comes in next with around $55 million, 143 shows in 2015 and nearly 7.5 million likes on Facebook.

Aoki is followed Deadmau5, who despite a meager 34 shows in 2015, still managed to rake in $53 million. Coming up next is Skrillex with $36 million, and 80 shows in 2015, which is nothing compared to the 322 shows he played in 2011, and is double that of Diplo’s $15 million from 72 gigs in 2015, and gigs with Major Lazer.

Talking about techno behemoths, Sven Vath and Richie Hawtin make the list, with $14 million and $9 million respectively. Annie Mac also makes the list, though without a financial worth, with her influence as a talent finder and tastemaker coming handy.
