I guess we’re all more than familiar with the app phenomenon, Snapchat. Undoubtedly, 2015 has been a massive year for the app giants themselves with some serious numbers (an estimated 100 million users getting added to it each month) justifying their presence in the market. One of their exclusive features is the Discover page which lets media giants share their latest stories and promote exclusive content. Adding to the growing list was Snapchat‘s Best Of 2015 account that features a year of music. Interestingly, the channel debuted with the spotlight on EDM. The other findings which made it a must-read were Snapchat’s EDM 3 Artists to Watch in 2015 which featured 19 year old beat slayer heart breaker producer Mura Masa, upcoming producer duo Louis The Child and the musical group Bob Moses responsible for bridging the gap between live instrumentation and its electronic counterpart. Another section which grabbed eyeballs was Snapchat’s Top Tracks You May Have Missed which was graced by ZHU‘s track “As Crazy As It Is”, “Middle“ by DJ Snake and Bipolar Sunshine and Blonde and Alex Newell‘s collaborative effort for “All Cried Out”.
If you’re logging into your Snapchat right now, you’re all set to be disappointed due to their 24 hour policy and would probably be treated to R&B. At the same time, we hope their full coverage appears some other time without getting tagged to a certain time frame.
