Back in November, Diplo caused quite an uproar on Twitter after he tried to start a crowd sourced campaign to get Taylor Swift a booty, and obviously, that didn’t go down well with Lorde or Taylor Swift‘s fans. Even though both Swift and Diplo have buried the hatchet, Diplo still acknowledges his feud with her as one the biggest mistakes of his career.
In an interview with GQ Style, Diplo compared Taylor Swift’s fanbase to the North Korean Army. ‘”It’s like an army that’s worse than North Korea.”
“All I know is don’t ever get into a feud with Taylor Swift. She has like 50 million people that will die for her. You can’t step into that arena. That was something I was never prepared for … one of the biggest mistakes of my career was definitely f***ing with her.”
Further referring to his sobriety on Twitter following the feud, he said “It sucks for me, because now I have to not be as crazy as I am on the internet. Which totally sucks, because it’s not going to be fun anymore. But the repercussions are really bad. Like, Taylor Swift fans are really crazy. They threatened to murder me and stuff. It’s really bizarre, and disgusting. They’re the worst people in the world.”
