Gabe Baer, better known as CRNKN, is a LA based trap producer originally hailing from New Hampshire. Baer cites Curt of Flosstradamus as one of his mentors in getting his start in trap music. Though trap produced tracks are Baer’s forte, he has an immensely diverse taste in music.
Alesso’s track ‘Cool’ features the soothing vocals from the brilliant Roy English. His voice brings an emotional edge to the lyrics that describe the struggle of a lovestruck individual trying to play it cool. Recently, CRNKN released a remix to this progressive dance anthem and has successfully managed to give a splendid twist to this hugely popular Alesso track. The original track samples Kylie Minogue’s popular song ‘Get Outta My Way’ which makes it quite the task to give it an original twist. But, it is pertinent to point out that CRNKN has managed to do so beautifully and given the track his original touch that leaves a lasting impact on the listener to be grooving to the music even long after the track is over.
The track has a very melodic and slow build up, giving it a very happy vibe. It is a perfect balance of vocal riffs, beats and drum progressions to get the listener completely relaxed and move to the beats of the music. CRNKN has impressively made it his own with a very refined and mature take on this track.
