It’s true that making music is just not enough these days, and even the music industry’s megastars take diverse routes to swipe-out some good heaps of cash. In a newly put out news piece by Billboard, it has been revealed that some of the top beneficiaries in music this year from soda partnerships include our very own EDM headliners Tiesto and Avicii.
In the days of heavy flooding of free music sources via internet especially through torrents, it is no surprise that there are very less amount of people who actually buy music following legitimate ways. Therefore, artists are left in absolute need of other reliable sources to gain. Although this might look a little cheesy and many might call these “sell outs”, we believe this is just a part of business. Just honestly think of Coca-Cola coming to you and saying, “Hey we’ll pay you $30 million to DJ in front of our banner”. Would you say no?
