We’ve seen some brilliant posters over the years for our favourite musicians, from Bob Marley to Pink Floyd. An aesthetic representation of musicians via art has been an age old norm however, for all you EDM fans looking for a poster to tape by your bed, Peruvian artist Le’Roy is here to the rescue! Le’Roy’s intentions are “to make a huge expo about EDM artwork. I’ll paint 22 of the best DJs from DJ Mag‘s rankings, the ones who get talked about the most in the press, and the ones I knew who were the best electro house and big room that I like.” With the rapid rise of interest in EDM in the 21st century, this was inevitable. DJs are no less idolized than all the rockstars were in their times. Le’Roy realized “it would be interesting for the digital art industry if I did this. I’m getting better at it. I created EDM Artwork to combine two things I love into one. I wanted to present paintings and artwork related to EDM, [yet I realized] this could be done for every genre in music. Mainly, I painted the digital portraits to honor the DJs that I love to hear.” So well here you go! After first painting former Swedish House Mafia member Sebastian Ingrosso, he went on to Axwell, Steve Angello and Deadmau5! You can watch the video of Le’Roy working on Deadmau5 below!
