Tomorrowland’s always been the holy land for all dance music enthusiasts. Known to conjure artsy stage concepts with live theatrics, this Belgium based festival has been a carnival for all cultures, religions and genres to combine and feel one. Advocating a niche for all festivals to uphold, Tomorrowland recently completed a decade, and in lieu of celebration, the festival’s broadcast partner MTV has released a 45 minute documentary paying homage to its grand success.
“Tomorrowland: 10 Years of Unity, Love, Madness, and Magic” consists of interviews with several artists on its roster such as Steve Aoki, Afrojack, David Guetta, Kaskade etc. It also features that fleeting moment of emotion when Armin Van Buuren performed right after the birth of his son.
Giving an overview of its history as well as exclusive footage of various parts of the festival, this video also documents the introduction of several fans and their journeys from multiple countries across the world. Not unlike the EDC documentary, MTV does well to romanticize Tomorrowland, highlighting footage of a perfectly planned proposal. Offering nostalgia in a nutshell, this documentary sums up the magic of Tomorrowland quite well for anyone and everyone.
