Berlin based trance veteran Dennis Sheperd released his single ‘A Tribute to Life’ a few years back and not to mention it became one of the most played tracks by djs around the world. Now when his career has climbed mountains of success and he is in the most prime position, Dennis has announced a dynamic record label of his own.
An honor to his hit single, the label will be known as ‘A Tribute to Life’ and will serve to stand for freedom of creativity, aiming to put out quality releases from both established and new artists, with no rules or trends to follow.
As we’ve learnt so far, trance will remain the main emphasis of ‘A Tribute to Life’ but it won’t just be about it. In-fact, some inside stories also tells us that Dennis’ long awaited second artist album that is due for coming autumn, will also be released on this label.
“I wanted to create a label where no one is telling me how a record should sound, or where there are musical borders to fit a certain label’s style. Freedom of creativity is so important to me and through A Tribute To Life, I will have complete and utter freedom. “The ‘A Tribute To Life’ name means a lot to me – I’ve used it for my debut artist album, single in 2007 and also my radio show, because I have been very lucky to have lived the life I have up until now, and A Tribute To Life, in all its forms, is my way to give life in general, and the people in it, something back; a ‘thank you’ if you will!” said Dennis about his new label.
Because it’s certainly an occasion to celebrate about, to add a little spunk, Dennis himself got into the studio and prepared the debut release for his beloved label. Featuring the skilled vocals of Chloe Langley, ‘Bring You Home’ is a track initiated with punching kick drum that later turns into a big-room trance track full of melodic and uplifting tones.
