lord-of-the-trance

Who wouldn’t love a little Trance and dance video carrying those ‘Step-Up’ feels, to get you through the day? That’s what Tommy Trash brings for us with the video to his latest hit single, Lord Of The Trance.

The video illustrates the story of a boy with a love for river dancing and shiny purple tights. Trying his luck, he enters into a room conducting dance auditions where he stands amongst intimidating contenders as his competition. As the room full of dancers break into a crisply coordinated choreography, our boy does something completely different standing in the middle, right in front of the judges- he starts river-dancing, just like Mumble from Happy Feet!

Faced by cold rejection of the judges the boy storms out of the building and decides to become the best of the best river dancers to walk on Earth. The depth of his ambitions can be felt as he puts on a purple headband and slips into purple tights, the tightness of which is directly proportionate to the amount of determination he proceeds with. We also see a silhouette of Trash, watching over the boy as he practices on the streets.

Challenging his luck yet again, the boy goes for another audition where his talent is disregarded, again. But as he storms out of an audition for the second time, he is guided by an enigmatic figure with luscious hair (could it be Trash?) into a world he’s never seen before, a world of river dancers! The boy finally finds a place where he can share a mutual love for floor tapping and exchanging shiny headbands. He found his home in an island of misfits, where he fit like the right piece of puzzle. And that was the end to this beautiful video.

Watch it below for yourself and if you’re careful enough, you’d also spot Tommy Trash head banging somewhere in the background!
