Coldplay has been one of the most widely celebrated and adored music arts at the turn of the last and this century. Garnering a fan following that easily surpasses millions, the British Rock band have always ventured into musical realms unknown, and with their latest album ‘Ghost Stories‘ reiterating their status as one of the biggest musical acts in the world, their singles have been molded and natured prolifically with the help of Dance Music heavyweights. World number 1 DJ, Hardwell gave a stunning performance at EDC Las Vegas last weekend, as he previewed a few world exclusives. Besides dropping his single ‘Arcadia’ from his yet untitled studio album, he delivered a magical remix of Coldplay’s anthemic ‘A Sky Full of Stars‘! The story is that Hardwell was personally invited by the label (FFRR/Parlophone) to remix the single! Here’s what the Dutch maestro had to say about it!
I’ve long been a fan of the band so when I discovered they wanted me to remix one of the tracks from their new album, it was really a ‘wow’ moment for me. It’s such an honor and I’m really proud of the outcome of the track. When I dropped it at EDC Las Vegas, the crowd’s reaction was electrifying; it still gives me Goosebumps thinking about it!
Imagine at the festival occasion of EDC, Hardwell dropping the poetic single, under the night sky of stars, his emphatic rework of this Coldplay beauty, Hardwell retains Euphoria sacrosanct with the original while infusing his own unique blend of progressive depth and club-driven soundscape. Alluring vocals by Chris Martin, merged with oscillating synth progressions alongside uplifting waveforms, made this one of the most emotional tracks of the weekend.
