With captivating dark and woozy pitched-down vocals, Zhu’s track “Faded“ has created a remarkable stir throughout the dance music industry and was exceedingly impossible to ignore this year. Just a month after its mysterious appearance on SoundCloud, the track marched towards a mind-boggling number of plays and had fans and producers alike caught in a frenzy. Now, today after “Faded” and the rest of the trailblazing producer’s Nightday EP arrived, Zhu’s made his next move and boy is it well worth your attention.
Overnight, the L.A. based producer has uploaded two dazzling remixes to his Soundcloud, the first being a rework of Lana Del Rey’s track “West Coast” while the other is a new take on London Grammar’s “Strong(er)”. Zhu must certainly be credited for the fact that despite tackling two of the most remixed artists of the year until this point, he’s produced a compelling reinterpretation on both fronts and has left us drooling over his mesmerizing deep sounds all over again.
