Swapneel “SNR” Ukhalkar’s remix of the deliciously soothing Myon & Shane 54 & Late Night Alumni collaboration, Under Your Cloud, got the attention of Myon & Shane 54, and got selected as Track Of the Moment for their International Departures podcast.
What’s so special about the remix? It’s everything the original is, and yet so, so much more. He’s maintained the chill vibe of the original, but spun it around in such a uniquely ethnic way, making it so much more delightful. He’s left the original vocals and just changed the melody of the hook ever so slightly. But the ethnic percussion he’s added right at the start definitely begs you to take notice. At the bridge he’s restructured the beat work to make it a very breakbeat-esque remix. The organic instrumentation is very evident, especially the subtle tabla work at the break, that compliments the vocals ever so exquisitely. Let’s not forget the added bass that packs that much punch to the track, making this remix such a fun one to listen to and groove to.
A wonderful fusion of east meets west, along with the perfect amalgamation of western electronica complimented by subtle ethnic sounds. No word on the release date, but you can enjoy the track below.
