Deadmau5 who recently surprised everyone by releasing a techno track “Sunspot” under the alias Testpilot on Richie Hawtin’s ‘Plus 8‘ imprint, now goes on to play a techno set in his studio streaming it live to his fans. Deadmau5 has repeatedly said that he feels that dance music these days sounds the same and he’s trying to do something different through the techno department. Joel even admitted in an interview that he has different aliases and he does put out music in the techno channels.
Deadmau5 fondness for techno these days is very evident, as he didn’t even spare the main stage of Ultra Music Stage this year to drop some techno tunes. Joel now gives his fans two hours of uncompromising four-to-the-floor techno set on his special fan website. The set contains tunes from Carl Craig, Audion, Joris Voorn and deadmau5 himself, and it is now up on Youtube. Watch it below right away:
