Spanish DJs have a special chemistry with music, giving them the ability to create some very welcoming tunes in the dance music industry. Marc Ramirez, who goes by his stage name ‘Dosem,’ would be a perfect example of one such Spanish spinner.
Born and raised in Girona, which lies close to Barcelona A.K.A the ‘techno music mecca’, Dosem has emerged as an ambassador of techno music himself over the years. He has thrived in the music industry worldwide for almost a decade and the path of his success can be traced back to his hometown where he first got the opportunity to explore electronic music in all its styles and genres. He was also inspired by the EDM culture of Barcelona where, as he said, he and others like him were ‘impregnated by these sounds and established the foundation of what would be a new generation of Catalan producers.’

Dosem’s success first piloted when he signed to Technasia’s label ‘Sino’ in 2008 with his eloquently carved club hit ‘Silent Drop’ which sparked interest in techno junkies around the world and there was no looking back for him from then! ‘DJ Top 100’ of ‘Spanish Go Magazine’ also voted Dosem as the Best Spanish Producer of 2008.
His true potential, however was acknowledged and admired by critiques when he released his first debut album ‘Parallel’ in 2011 which was then followed by string of sonic releases that included his ‘Origin’ EP on Christian Smith’s ‘Tronic’ imprint, remixes for artists such as Gregor Tresher, Max Cooper, Alexander Kowalski and Henry Saiz and the immersive ‘Believe’ EP on his own label ‘Soundfate’.

With futuristic “Soul Techno & Hi-Tech Funk” approach to his music, Dosem achieves to build a signature structure for peculiarly characterized tunes that keep you coming back for more. One can encounter this pleasantly bold and unique style of his in his ‘Become One’ EP which recently released under Tronic records this year, as well.

Today his name can be found on billings for clubs and festivals around the world that include Berghain, Space Ibiza, Fabrik, Ministry of Sound and many more. That’s precisely why you shouldn’t miss his gig as he tours India this week and if these weren’t reasons enough for you, listening to a few of his techno-bombs should definitely make you change your mind:
