While Rihanna may ask you to be friends with ‘the monster inside your head’, Dance music’s hottest sister act, Krewella have a completely different take on parties and monsters. The latest single from the world renowned EDM trio, ‘Party Monster’ is energetic and visually engaging bringing in a new usher of dance music. The official video released on 27th March 2014 under their ‘Get Wet’ album, is a visual captivator of the highest order.
‘Party Monster’ is a unique song which is reminiscent of ‘We Will Rock You’ in the intro but the beats are very much heavy on the electro side with a dash of dub synths. The sister duo have of course lent their voice to repeated vocals of ‘ We want to party, party here tonight’ while there is also a very robotic voice in the background pitching in to say the namesake of the track over and over again. The video itself may lean heavily towards S & M and grotesque images, its hard to take your eyes off from it. A few scary symbols of skulls and pentagrams have appeared here and there in the background only to remind you of the creative strength of Krewella to take on a dark side.
For the rock & roll fans in you, there is also a lil bit of head banging.
