Last year Social media funnyman and Anjunabeats prodigy Mat Zo showed his chops as a versatile producer through his artist album ‘Damage Control‘. Needless to say, the album blurred boundaries between conventional EDM with genres such as hip-hop and Electro-pop. And now, the iconic label behind the album, Anjunabeats put together a special remix package that takes the track ‘Only for you’ and puts it on a buffet platter with different artistic flavors to choose from!
With an abundant dose of electro-funk featuring the spellbinding vocals of Rachel K. Collier on the original, the remix package features three stunning versions of the track through visionary producers. Maor Levi‘s take on the track takes it on a familiar Anjunabeats sound terrain with a more progressive uplifting beat driving the original melody with a joyful counter melody slapping the bass and punching the synthwork. Frenchman Jeremy Villecourt aka Croquet Club puts the track into an unchartered territory with his version. While Levi put a club-driven twist to the original, Croquet Club’s magical rendition infuses some smooth and deep pads and atmospherics to adorn the angelic vocal work of Collier. This version is definitely a keeper! Dutch sensation Estiva has consistently been making some dancefloor destruction productions and with his remix of ‘Only for You‘, he only extends the great form he’s in. Infusing some extended synth work that spells euphoric progressive, he makes the track an easy-listening experience while ensuring you’re constantly grooving to the hot-stepping drumloop and bassline!
