After quite a lot of anticipation, Porter Robinson has finally gone on to announce his upcoming album “Worlds”. The noted producer/DJ posted a mysterious 10 hour-long video with a brief tease of new, atmospheric music. The video is also accompanied by a psychedelic video of scenic mountains and tree-tops and cuts out to a PSA before switching to a droning voice which repeats the word, ‘Worlds’ and the emoticon face ‘?=???=?’ along with being coupled with more psychedelic imagery.
Porter’s upcoming album has been the young producer’s coveted project for well over a year in the making with nothing more than just a few hints about its progress via Twitter to satisfy his hungry, but patient, fan base. Finally, however, Porter has now arisen out of his silence to deliver his first announcement regarding the forthcoming record.

Known equally for his affinity for the unusual & a clear knack for expansive, forward thinking music, it’s needless to say that Porter has truly something special up his sleeve lined for us. We don’t know when we’ll be treated to the entire product. We don’t know but something remarkable is surely coming and soon.
Porter has also gone on to say that, “This record I’ve been working on for the last couple of years focuses mostly on being beautiful, emotional, and vast-sounding… It’s got a sort of vintage-inspired, lo-fi, nostalgic vibe to it. The album is definitely not a mainstage EDM album at all. I’ve grown so tired of the formulaic, buildup-drop EDM formula. This record is listening music, not party music. I think fans of songs like “Language” will like the album – it’s meant to be emotional and pretty in the same way – but on a different set of sounds. I feel really strongly about this. It goes without saying that ever since the mysterious announcement video hit the internet the upcoming album has generated tremendous buzz.
