New club in Las Vegas bans mainstream tracks and improper DJing!
The newly opened AFTER Las Vegas club in Las Vegas has taken some drastic steps to break away from normality and give it’s patrons more music for their money’s worth. Given the surge of the EDM explosion in the US let alone Las Vegas alone, AFTER has come up with its own list of DJ rules, one that will have dance music purists sit up and applaud them!
While some rules are more or less obvious such as ‘not placing drinks close to the equipment’ or ‘not playing a prerecorded set’, some go as far as specifically asking a DJ to refrain from genres such as Trap and Dubstep. Another rule includes the disapproval of tracks by Hardwell, Chuckie, Calvin Harris, David Guetta and others! Although these rules are applied only post 3 am, such rules come as a breath of fresh air in a clubbing culture which is exhausted of mainstream music styles. Perhaps, given the escalating rise of underground music styles, it won’t be long before clubs in India too invoke such rules, albeit with a little more creative freedom to the DJ! However, for now, social media is abuzz with talk of this unique rule system, and while some DJ’s have shown their support, a few have raised a finger as well. Check out the entire scoop below!
@MattLange It’s real. It’s permanently affixed to our #DJ booth.
