Grammy-nominated DJ/producer Armin van Buuren has set a new record for Billboard‘s Dance/Electronic Albums Chart with ‘A State of Trance Year Mix 2013′, clocking up more chart entries than Tiësto, Pet Shop Boys and America’s proclaimed best-selling DJ Louie DeVito.
Confirming the news, Gordan Murray from Billboard said, “With his latest mix-album charting, the Dutch DJ claims the most titles in the tally’s history”.
With the chart entry of Armin’s tenth title for the A State of Trance Year Mix series, he has achieved high ranking on the acclaimed albums-chart. A grand total of 20 albums to chart-to-date, the Dutchman received the news right before kicking off his A State of Trance 650 – New Horizons world tour.
Next to ASOT 650 shows in cities such as Miami, Yekaterinburg, Buenos Aires, Kuala Lumpur and Utrecht in celebration of the 650th episode of his radio show, he also continues his extended ‘Armin Only – Intense tour’ which is set to hit India in just a few days. The tour is based on one of his latest highlights – smash hit album “Intense“, peaking the Billboard charts at number two.
