Acts You Can’t Afford To Miss At Sunburn 2013
Sunburn is right around the corner, and while your favourite artists are going to be there, here are some other artists you may not have heard of, but should definitely plan to see when you get to Vagator.
1. Timo Maas:
Timo Maas started out by dj-ing at a friends house. His first few gigs were just around Germany, playing generic top 40 tracks, with some techno beats here and there. In 1992 however, he was inducted into the rave scene, and played a few shows at some of Germany’s rave scenes, soon becoming a household name for electronic underground music.
Maas exploded in the dance music scene with his remix of Azzido Da Bass’ “Dooms Night”, after which he released his first album, the aptly named, Music for the Maases Volume 1. He’s been around a while, he understands the nuances of dance music as well as the underground scene, making him a unique and unmissable act at Sunburn Goa. As far as commercial remixes go, he’s provided remixes for Fatboy Slim, Kelis, and Madonna.

2. James Zabiela:
James Zabiela is famous for his skills at the turntable, his extensive use of loops and effects. If not just to witness the genius of his hands, one should listen to his careful fusion of Breakbeat and house music, and give your ears something to live for. Just another one of the acts you cannot, and must not miss at Sunburn this year!

3. Goldfish:
Dominic Peters and David Toole have together created Goldfish, and their tunes are just that golden. They comprise electronic music with jazz and a hint of African music. While that isn’t eccentric enough, they’re duly noted for their impeccable work with live instruments along with synths, effects and samplers. If your want your electronic music redefined for you, they are a duo that need viewing and listening. They have produced multiple funky videos and their music has come to acquire a distinct sound to it. Come on down to Planet Sunburn and check them out!
