American concert and live events promoter SFX Entertainment, focused exclusively on electronic music culture or EMC and other world-class festivals, announced that it has agreed to acquire the remaining 50 percent of B2S! After SFXs’ sale to Clear Channel in 2000 and subsequent spin-off as Live Nation, it became the largest live events company in the world. And now it has plans to consolidate its position as the top live event promoter in the world as it looks to fully acquire the brand that specializes in hard electronic dance music that has well established brands, such as Thrillology, Knock Out and Decibel.

Founder of SFX, Robert F. X. Sillerman acquired 50% of B2S back in October, due to their partnership with ID&T, but now they have agreed to purchase the remaining 50% for $14.3 million in cash and 400,000 shares of SFX common stock. It now remains to be seen as to what this means for the EDM world as the top promoter has strengthened his foothold on the industry with this acquisition.
