Bonnie McKee – American Girl (Steve Aoki Remix)

One of America’s most prolific performers, Steve Aoki has cooked up an incredible remix of Bonnie McKee’s hit, “American Girl”, that is sure to bring you right back to the beach parties and bikinis of Summer 2013.

Aoki had teased us with a two second snippet of the track on his Vine back in August, but now we can hear the whole rendition on his SoundCloud. The Dim Mak founder has turned this simple, bubbly pop-song upside down right from the beginning. Starting off with some key electro-house baselines, fading McKee’s vocals into the beat then adding in some more abrasive synths, he takes the catchy melody and flips it into a club-worthy remix.
