French  DJ extraordinaire and hottie Gesaffelstein is back after quite a hiatus with a new single “Hate Or Glory”.  A breathtaking, intense and aptly titled track, showcases the drug overlordship like never before accompanied with a video that blows your mind: it’s all about drugs, gangsters, women and money. A greedy dealer turns slowly to a golden statue and finds a tragic end. Directed by Fleur&Manu, who also directed Pursuit and videos for artists like M83, Sebastien Tellier and Canyons.

Beginning with a high profanity driven video, the track starts off with echoing beats matching the pace of the man walking in it.  The reverberating drums pick up as a shocker, then the beats come in all along the sexy hush of a voice in the background.  The cutaways and the montages in the video are brilliant sending out the message ‘dont mess with the bad guys who make bad ass music’.  The video ends with the mafia don turned into a real live gold statue shattering into a thousand pieces. So much for the love of gold but the music makes it worthwhile.  Kudos to Gesaffelstein for this high energy number.
