After hitting us with a preview of something epic named Pyramid Scheme with Chuck D.  Matan Zohar, or popularly known as Mat Zo, is out with a preview for his new remix of Ellie Goulding’s Burn.  Now the original is one that’s going to have a plethora of remixes, and we’ve already seen Tiesto hit us with his own take on it. The preview starts off  with an almost retro reverb breakdown layered under Goulding’s almost surreal vocals.  This then gives way to way to an Angelic choir and atmospheric synth build up, with a snippet of tambourine samples thrown in. This then drops to a progressive house groove with  hints of trance elements embedded into it.  All this plus echoed cut up samples of Ellie’s vocals make for a pretty intelligent production that make you want to move your feet to the rhythm. The second breakdown sheds a lot of more light on Goudlings uplifting voice, till he unleashes his electro ingenuity after winding synth samples to give you a powerful electro drop.  This time with a big room chord progression added to the twist.
