It’s finally happened! French Duo, Daft Punk, are set to release a new album mid-2013. It’s been 8 years since they last graced us with their music, coming from the album ‘Human After All’ which came out in 2005. There’s a lot we can expect from this new album/LP, and we’re going to give you the run down of it. First off, the French Duo are parting ways Virgin Records to sign on with Sony’s Columbia Records. We’ve also got to know hints of who they may be collaborating with. Nile Rodgers, Disco legend, tops the list. Nile Rodgers also wrote on his blog:

The next time I set foot in Japan, my collaboration with Daft Punk would have started to hit people’s eardrums.

Giorgio Moroder, Paul Williams and Chilly Gonzales are also expected to be part of the album, which would conclude that this album is featuring a lot of legends that exist in other genre’s of music and definitely leaves us wondering what this album could bring.

They are not expected to tour this year, but we can only hope they change their minds to help support their new release. The new album is expected to come out sometime between March ’13 – May ’13.
