EDM meets Hollywood

      

EDM has traveled a long way in the last few years. From once being referred to as “that stuff Europeans listen to”, to becoming a global movement with ragers of all ages. Today, EDM has its influences in all sorts of media and arts. From exhibitions to fashion shows, commercials to all out raging festivals, we are witnessing EDM and its welcoming aura all around us.

The latest news brought to us by an article in the New York Times tells us about how artists like Skrillex and Kaskade may be producing tracks and full-blown original scores for Hollywood. The article says that Skrillex has already produced a score for the upcoming film “Spring Breakers”. According to an article released by Forbes in early August called ‘Electronic Cash Kings List’,  ”EDM, has finally surged into mainstream consciousness”. The article also makes us aware that Kaskade was the first electronic act to sell out The Staples center in LA. The good news for all us bangers out there that love EDM is that we are going to be able to see its influence a lot more and the artists are being rewarded for their hard work in the studio.
