It seems like an end of an era within dance music is about to strike us after this weekend. Avicii who announced retirement from touring back in late March this year rocked the dance music community in every possible way but has assured that he will continue to work on new music. That being said, while the ticket prices for his last set of shows throughout reached sky high rates, the Swedish heavyweight also had to cancel a number of his Las Vegas shows citing health issues.
And now, following a social media post by the star act himself, we know that this coming weekend would be the last time the world can witness him perform live as he will take over Ushuaïa Ibiza as part of his longstanding residency. With a caption which says “Thank you all my amazing fans for this sunday’s show. This upcoming weekend is the last chance to see ‘the hand’ doing it’s thing.”, nothing but pure nostalgia takes over.
We wish him good luck for his future endeavors and dearly hope that one of today’s finest producers makes a comeback to the stage sooner than later!
