Australian Promoter Takes Aim At Ghost-Produced Artists, Reveals A Few Names After Post Goes Viral

This past Sunday, a few shocking facts came to life when Danny Grant, head of Melbourne-based promotion agency, Loud Entertainment took to social media to make a few shocking claims. In a brief yet powerful post on Facebook, he wrote about the impending issue of the integrity of ghost producers in the industry.

And, as he points out how over saturation of ghost producing has led to the demise to EDM, we couldn’t agree any less to the fact looking at how heavy hitters in the scene are being selfish here and helping their own cause rather than being honest about it and work for the sake of the art. Also, as much as we are aware of the deed which undoubtedly goes down behind the scenes, Danny says that people like them in the industry have their hands tied. Moreover, he signed off on a strong note when he asks artists to come to terms with the fact that if they feel the need to justify their need for ghost producers, why not just admit it?

As the post went and still continues to go viral and began to amass hundreds of likes and shares, the promoter also promised to release the names of prominent artists and as we speak, there have been names that have already been put out. Till now, industry heavyweights like Steve Aoki, Timmy Trumpet, Hannah Wants, TiĆ«sto, DVBBS, Tigerlily, The Stafford Brothers and more were either incriminated by Grant or even given a nod when others started to pick out names.

Although as reports suggest and if Danny’s comment is to be considered true, he faced severe backlash from one of the major agencies in Australia and was even threatened with legal action. With no hard facts to back his shocking claims, it would be interesting to see how the targeted DJs respond! Till then, stay tuned for more updates!
