In a rather unfortunate incidence, German Trance legend Paul van Dyk suffered a serious injury due to a fall while playing at the Mainstage at ASOT Utrecht.
The incident was first reported when suddenly during his set, the sound got cut off abruptly, and news started pouring in through Twitter that the DJ had fallen from the stage. The confirmation soon came from Armin van Buuren, who announced the news on stage, and closed the mainstage and cancelled his vinyl performance out of respect for his German counterpart.
Tonight Paul van Dyk fell off the stage. He’s on his way to the hospital. He’s one of the heroes of A State of Trance…
