One thing’s for sure after the release of this monster of a remix.
The old Skrillex hasn’t disappeared at all.
Not that his recent releases were bad, but it’s always good to see the propagator of brostep go back to his roots. Sonny has done exactly that, with this phenomenal rework of GTA’s Red Lips.
The original song was a part of GTA’s EP Death To Genres Vol. 1, a heavy trap banger in itself.
This remix changes everything though. Starting off with the pitch of the original, Skrillex brings it down to a tight snare riser, before dropping a more evolved version of his famed wobbles. now sounding heavier and very industrial.
For ardent fans who’ve been waiting for the OWSLA boss to drop this since ages, the finished product is an aural treat, and a good trip down memory lane.
