This Manila native who has adopted his hometown’s name as his moniker has just realeased a very soulful version of the legendary Caribou’s classic, ‘Can’t Do Without You‘. Enlisting the services of the Frenchman, Kidswaste on this track, Manila Killa has created the perfect song for those long afternoons on the beach.
The intro builds up the vibe which then floats into a dreamy state as the amazing vocals kick in. A laid back atmosphere is instilled into the very fabric of the song. As Manila Killa says in the song description, “this is a really special track dedicated to a really special person who changed my perspective on songwriting and music”, we can actually feel the love and dedication he has put into the song. Kidswaste has provided the soulful guitar parts and additional production on the track. The piano melody at the end is a homage to Korean pianist’s masterpiece ‘River Flows In You’.
