Above & Beyond are famous not only for creating music that hits you right in the feels, but also beautiful music videos that we connect with on such a level that we can’t help but feel overwhelmed with nostalgia. Having said that, premiering on their weekly radio podcast, ‘Group Therapy With Above & Beyond’ it is really no surprise that their new video ‘Counting Down The Days’ is also an emotional roller coaster ride.
Just like most of their videos, this one paints a beautiful life scenario all of us have been through at some point in our lives. The video follows the journey of a couple in the best and worst of their relationship and the emotions we find ourself struggling with whilst going through a breakup. But as far as expectation v. reality is concerned, the video goes on, just like real life, showing us how the end of something eventually leads it’s way to the start of something new and that everything is going to be just fine. The video for ‘Counting Down The Days‘ follows the theme from the hit movie ‘500 Days Of Summer‘, following a trend from the previous videos, which all channeled themes from various cult movies. The music video for ‘We’re All We Need‘ followed the theme of Thelma and Louise, while Blue Sky Action was inspired from Wall-E
