When it comes to DJ systems and turntables, Pioneer Electronics remain the undisputed champions of bringing bringing the best in technology to the world of Electronic music.
Ater showcasing it as a ‘concept product’ during international music fair Musikmesse earlier this year, Pioneer has now revealed its highly-anticipated PLX-1000 professional turntable to the DJ community at large. Engineered as a DJ quality direct drive analog turntable, the PLX-1000 mirrors the look & feel of the classic turntable with the vinyl music playback. Having a major part of the DJ community digging into the roots of Dance music, we’d guess this newest piece of technology would be very well received by the Electronic music community.

Featuring a ‘highly familiar, user-friendly control layout, high-torque direct drive mechanism’, and exceptional audio playback quality, the PLX 1000 also has variable tempo controls that can be switched from the standard plus-or-minus 8 percent to 16 or even 50. Presence of a tempo reset switch and some exciting internal improvements that will aid with elements such as damping, isolation and feedback. This would be an exciting step forward, as we take a step back to look at the essential art of turntablism and DJing, just like how our metaphoric forefathers had perceived it!

According to their official site, the PLX-1000 will be released in August 2014 for a suggested retail price of $849. You can check out the introduction video for the same here!
