Artist Of The Month – Myon & Shane 54

Myon & Shane 54 entered into the trance scene as storm bringers and they haven’t stopped the skies from roaring under their spell ever since! Hailing from Hungary; the duo first came into being in 2008 when Shane 54 (aka El?d Császár), former frontman of a popular Hungarian boy band called FLM, decided to combine forces with Myon (aka Márió Éget?) a trained musician who played several instruments himself, in order to bestow the world with their exquisite tunes.

The two have shared a long journey together that involved unleashing bold mash-ups in their initial stages, working on mélange of peculiar sounds and producing new music that reflected their profound thinking and futuristic creativity.

Oozing with talent as they were, it took no time for the duo to be added to the favourites of the most renowned electronic music artists including Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Tiësto, Paul van Dyk and more. The two were soon also featured on ASOT40 podcast as the sensational DJ, Armin van Buuren judged the immense potential this upcoming pair possessed. Not only this, but the duo also conquered the 62nd position on DJMag’s Top 100 DJs within 3 years of working together!

One can see how welcomed Myon & Shane 54 are on the radio from their past appearances which include guest mixes for Above & Beyond’s “Trance Around the World”, Tiesto’s “Club Life” and Big Al’s KISS FM! Apart from this, the duo has their own radioshow/podcast called ‘International Departures’ that went on air in 2009, after their success on ASOT. Airing weekly with fresh tunes and mixes the podcast has garnered abundant popularity by their fans in a little time.

During this time, the pair also went on board with their own reality TV show titled ‘International Departures’ as well, to give their fans an account of their travel adventures with a first person perspective. Soon after, in 2010 MS54 released their first collection of exclusive tracks and remixes of International Departures via Armada Music.

Ever since Myon & Shane 54 grabbed on to the peak of music charts, it seemed like they never let go. The two consistently unleashed top quality mash-ups and productions that also bagged them a feature in Above and Beyond’s compilation Album and their music was accepted with appreciation by their fans as well. Apart from having a spectacular list of productions to their name including the globe reigning single ‘Stranger’ in collaboration with Seven Lions and ‘Under Your Cloud’ with Late Night Alumni, the duo have also found their place on top-notch record labels like Anjunabeats, Armada or Black Hole.
