The new track by Promise Land  has a curious title. Named “Bad DJ”. Odd name for a track you may think but the song is far from being bad, in fact it is much close to being legendary.

Released under Steve Angello’s Size Records the preview of the track sparks some curiosity on how much electro house has actually progressed. Carrying some powerful percussions to its name the track is produced by the Italian DJs to a maximum level.  The drop is pretty sexy and overall it has a funky rhythm that will probably make you do some serious moon walking.

Other fun facts on Size Records is that the label has been known to sign on some sizeable DJs including Dimitri Vangelis, Sunnery James, Nicky Romero  and many more. They sure seem to be lapping up some great talent and needless to say Promise Land cuts more than half of this list.

The highly anticipated “Noise” comes as a combined effort of Italian DJ/Producer duo Promise Land and remarkably talented 14 year old DJ/Producer Junior Black on Doorn Records. With the release of their stunning debut album ‘People Of The Night’ in September of last year, long-time friends and collaborators AN21 & Max Vangeli cemented their positions as leaders in their field. Promise Land has been making waves in the industry recently. First by working with Chuckie on ‘Breaking up’, and then their take on SHM’s ‘Don’t you worry child’, its evident that Promise Land  is a big name in the making.

They now bring to us, their latest – ‘Gangsta’. Gangsta is a through and through progression of melodies. They move out from the conventional electro bombs that they tend to drop, to a more calculated progression. The track is uplifting, and is a good listen! Teaming up with fellow production duo Promise Land to return to album track ‘Glow’ with a fresh remix earlier this year, they have now unveiled the cinematic official video for the track, which is available to watch now.

Staying true to the emotive power of the original production, the video reflects the new energy they bring to the remix. Reworking the melodies into bold, sweeping arrangements, they re-enforce the track’s drive with big drums and a grinding bassline.

Brothers in arms AN21 and Max have quickly established themselves as rising stars of the EDM world. Hotly tipped in the early stages of their career, they have substantiated the hype with releases both as individuals and as a duo. Candyland – Bring The Rain [EP]

The california based duo ‘Candyland’ kicks into 2013 with their new Ep ‘Bring The Rain’ this week through Spinnin records, and it’s nothing short of amazing. The EP hosts six original tracks that are remixed, and pulls you into an experience of all traverse dubstep, glitch hop, and drum & bass remixes, collabs, builds and unexpected twists and drops.

The Ep begins with a sharp opening track “Its a Shark”. Its a concoction of a snitch of Glitch,pinch of electro and dub-bass all blended in one flavour to suit your ear palette. Next ,  “Beneath Myself” features Ethan Davis with a flawless progression , utilising a catchy melody during the intro. Then, perfectly dropping the bass at the right time that kicks into drumstep.

Next , is “Castle Of Affair” featuring Peter Dawson on the vocals , and hard hitting dub that surly leaves you satisfied. Moving ahead  ,the titled track “Bring The Rain” has sensual vocals from Lexi Forche and some absolutely head-banging Electro. But just when you think this cannot get any better , they have a massive Moombah tune with a destroying drop  , featuring Big Chocolate. Finally , the last two tracks, “Get Wild” and “All You Gotta Do” are just prodigious as the rest,  showing much promise for the future. So just sit back and enjoy this incredible EP.

R3HAB GETS ENLISTED TO CREATE EDC ORLANDO 2012 ANTHEM AND RELEASES PREVIEW!

Tens of thousands of party-loving festivalgoers descended in Orlando for the massive second edition of the city’s Electric Daisy Carnival on 9th & 10th November and now there’s an extra treat to take home not just for these lucky attendees, but for music fans the world over. One of the finest and most in demand producers around has been asked to create its soundtrack – none other than Dutch dynamo R3hab.

As is fast becoming the norm, R3hab delivers another exquisite cut in his own inimitable style on “A Night In”, setting a rapturous top end against crunching electro. He encapsulates the happiness, energy and most importantly, the bass that is always constant at the festival. Nicky Romero takes over BBC Radio 1 for ‘In New DJs We Trust’ show

On Thursday night, Nicky Romero debuted on BBC Radio 1 as the latest recruit to their In New DJs We Trust roster. Romero has joined the monthly rotation on the station, which is internationally renowned for championing the best in fresh dance music talent.
