Orjan Nilsen & Fingerling – Fable (Original Mix)

Orjan Nilsen & Fingerling - Fable (Original Mix)

One of the most influential young artists and producers, Orjan Nilsen, recently launched his new label. A label purely dedicated to his hit album ‘In My Opinion’ has given its first product telling us that something good is in the air. Carrying the sound of a new movement, it will definitely find its way to the audiences.

Co-produced with a new name in the EDM encyclopedia Fingerling, ‘Fable’ is a new age  house track that best fits dance festivals. Powerful banging beats, raw and rough dance basslines with a feel good trancy breakdown makes it an immensely appealing track to be a first single of a brand new label.

Supported by W&W, Hardwell and Nicky Romero, this track is out now and you can buy it here on Beatport

Orjan Nilsen – Xiing (Original Mix)

Orjan Nilsen - Xiing (Original Mix)

Orjan Nilsen is a Norwegian producer who has garnered tremendous amount of attention ever since he set foot in the world of dance music. In 2012, he was ranked #32 in the DJ Mag Top 100 chart. The latest offering from this fine prodigy is titled, “Xiing”, released on Armada Music’s Armind Recordings today.

Premiered on Armin Van Buuren‘s Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1, it makes perfect sense why Armin would choose to include this. An absolute masterpiece, this track encapsulates a harmonious journey through trance music.

A noteworthy mention must go to the trickling melody which is the best way to identify this tune. A subtle bassline may not be loved by many, but it does its job with utmost ease, merging it into a big room sound. Goes without saying, our minds are blown and we can’t stop tapping our feet to this one!

John O’Callaghan & Orjan Nilsen – Crispy Duck (Radio Edit)

CS1479227-02A-BIG

Released earlier this year, by the Irish and Norwegian duo is not just some average track, it is “Delicious For The Ear” as the name suggests. It’s smooth and banging simultaneously at every second. This Progressive-Trance track is featured on John O’Callaghan’s Subculture 2013, which is a compilation of the best trance tracks by John, and was featured on A State Of Trance regular episode 596. If you are not a regular of the radio show by Armin Van Buuren, you could still hear it on A State Of Trance podcast episode 255.

The thing that catches the most attention is the name, “Crispy Duck”. Upon being asked, John had an interesting story for the title of the song. Both, Orjan and John, were in Australia on tour, where they had a dish called crispy duck at a Chinese Restaurant. The dish was devoured more often. And rest they say is ‘Awesomeness’. If you are a fan of Orjan’s previous works like Endymion and Copperfield, then you might just have an “Ear-gasm”.

“Crispy Duck” out now on Armada Music:

This years poll saw a considerable amount of rumours emerge that leading Dutch DJ/Producer, Hardwell had taken the top slot along with last years numero uno, Armin van Buuren coming in second whilst Swedish superstar Avicii taking the third spot just like last year.

Well rumours aside, the results for 2013 were just announced at a special ceremony during the on going Amsterdam Dance Event, and as was expected the top spot was taken by Hardwell, Armin Van Buuren took the number two spot, followed by Avicii at number three, Tiesto at four, and David Guetta at five. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nicky Romero, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, and Dash Berlin round out the top 10.

Dyro took the honours of the highest new entrant on the chart this year, debuting at an impressive number 30 and Andrew Rayel had the highest climb, jumping to number 28.

The Bangin Beats’ ADE 2013 party guide!

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is possibly the world’s biggest club festival with tons & tons of DJ’s and acts performing in Amsterdam’s finest venues, cafés, record stores, lounges and art galleries. From its humble beginnings as a small-scale industry event, the ADE now hosts thousands of key professionals and a festival audience eager to hear the best that dance music has to offer. It is the world’s leading electronic music conference and the biggest club festival for the many electronic sub-genres on the planet.

The event offers a full program of daytime conferences, including interactive workshops, mentoring sessions, technical demonstrations and in-depth round-table discussions, alongside a nighttime music festival featuring more than 220 events over five days in 52 venues around the city. Each year, the ADE attracts over 3,000 business professionals and 140,000 festival visitors – including 30,000 tourists – from 62 countries.

This year’s Amsterdam Dance Event shall be even more special, as it celebrates 25 years of dance music in The Netherlands. With house music exploding in Holland at the end of 1988, it went on to become one of the world’s leading countries regarding dance music, producers and events such as ADE. As part of the 25-year milestone celebrations, the Dutch language book ‘Mary Go Wild’ which has been compiled by over 80 writers, explores the history of parties in the country as well as interviewing key industry figures of the likes of Chuckie, Fedde Le Grand, Martyn and Nicky Romero.

The event remains extremely crucial to the industry calendar till date. With a largely ‘work’ focused agenda it provides for a packed house of labels, artists and even fans looking to get stuck, in this mecca of dance music. For 2013, in particular, the festival agenda has turned quite a few notches higher. With a record number of parties from across the spectrum set to have you in a fix throughout the conference, We bring you a complete focus on all the events you should be hitting across the five-day event.
