Lucas Nord & Emil Heró – We Lost Ourselves (Original Mix) [Free Download]

Lucas Nord, We Lost Ourselves

Lucas Nord seems to be making headway as the newest wave of Swedish Producers. After successes alongside fellow Swede John Dahlback on “We Were Gods” and “Embrace Me“, he’s collaborated with Emil Heró on another vocal gem, “We Lost Ourselves“.

Starting out with a very subtle scandi-popish intro, with hypnotic subtle vibrato synth work and a deep danceworthy bassline. Added to all this lush musicality is the deep and sultry vocal work on the track. A perfect marriage of deep and progressive house.

John Dahlback ft Urban Cone and Lucas Nord – We Were Gods (Original Mix)

John Dahlbäck feat. Urban Cone & Lucas Nord - We Were Gods

Despite a punishing touring & release schedule, 28 year old Swedish DJ/Producer John Dahlbäck has found time to team up with fellow Swedish musicians Lucas Nord and Urban Cone to create a stunning new big room electro house track: We Were Gods’, out today via Ultra Records.

‘We Were Gods’ is another skillfully produced track that exhibits Dahlbäck‘s 10 years of experience in the industry, with added diverse input from Lucas Nord. The smooth emotive vocals of Rasmus Flyckt and Emil Gustafsson from Swedish indie pop band Urban Cone meets the heavy drop cutting between big room electro and dubstep wobbles, giving ‘We Were Gods a particular miscellaneous edge.

John Dahlback ft. Urban Cone & Lucas Nord – We Were Gods

John Dahlback seems to have skipped his usual heavy electro sounds and hard beats for his newest collaboration with Swedish indie electro-band Urban Cone and Stockholm’s rising star Lucas Nord. This new laidback single, has much more of a chilled progressive house sound.  This is good vocal progressive, minus the earth shattering drops that seem part of every new release that’s doing the rounds nowadays. It’s very much a breath of fresh air form Mr. Dahlback, especially after more heavier productions like Cobra and Nuke. It features simplistic lyrics, a melodious progressive synth riff and a wondrous build up.  IT does contain hints of heavier electro samples, but in just enough amounts so as to not ruin something so harmonic and musical. The track has already been featured in Kaskade’s sets at this year’s Ultra Music Festival and Lollapalooza.

It’s set for release on September 13th on Beatport via Ultra Records.

Lucas Nord – Run On Love feat. Tove Lo (Original Mix)

Lucas Nord – Run On Love feat. Tove Lo (Original Mix)

Like any producer today, Lucas Nord has proven himself to be an upcoming artist we have to watch out for! Representing Stockholm in the dance music scene, Lucas has done himself proud with this single ‘Run On Love‘ featuring fast rising song-writer/artist Tove Lo. Also known for his remix of fellow Swede Adrian Lux’s track ‘Burning’, Nord’s sound has the melodic features of any good house song–that beautiful sound that gives you shivers and reminds you of all of life’s good times.

Adeptly incorporating uplifting tunes with one of Sweden’s talented voices, this track has the entire package -sheer brilliance. The induction of a progressive electric guitar solo is like the icing on this delicious cake. Makes us want to dance with a huge grin! Do check it out:
