Flux Pavilion and Dillon Francis – I’m The One (Original Mix)

Flux Pavilion feat Dillon Francis- I'm the One

Dubstep extraordinaire Flux Pavilion has collaborated with Dillon Francis- ‘I’m The One‘, The tune was originally created to serve as backdrop for his upcoming documentary, however DJ decided to go ahead drop it before hand for reasons unknown and we are certainly glad he didn’t wait.

Released under Circus Records , the track is a sure eargasm up for everyone to grab on 18th October 2013.

The tune brings about a change, an extraordinary beginning into a relatively softer tone, unlike any other you have heard from Flux till date. It definitely has Dillon’s influence to it with a middle ground between  moombahton and dubstep. The collision of the bass sounds come together perfectly for a song that will have you up and moving.

Release all the stress and ebb away the tension with this unique number here!

Flux Pavilion & Dillon Francis – I’m The One [Preview]

Just recently we got word that Flux Pavilion and Dillon Francis had collaborated on “I’m The One”, a huge track that’s set to be released on Flux’s forthcoming Freeway EP and now we’ve received a full preview of this beast and it’s just as massive as we imagined it would be.

A light sort of heavy, the collab isn’t quite bossy enough for moombahton, not really dirty like dubstep, but results in an easy listening marriage of both genres, punctuated by a rather unromantic rendition of the title lyric. Blending the upbeat electro vibe with a crunchy bassline, “I’m The One” comes at us an energetic rager, primed and ready to mash dancehalls with a smile on its face.

No official release date as of yet, but this one is surely too good to miss out on.

Flux Pavilion – Standing On A Hill [Free Download]

One of U.K’s biggest bass monsters, Flux Pavilion is a household name when you mention dubstep or drum & bass. Although having quit social media for now, (Read:Why?) he has released a special track Standing On A Hill for free download. The occasion, you ask? Garnering a million fans on Facebook! A track that means something special to Flux, here’s what he had to say about it,

“Standing on a Hill is a track that has been in my head for years now, and the process of writing it has been quite special for me. I want to give it out as thanks to all the people who enjoy my music and inspire me to write more.”

Opening up with a beautiful piano progression that leads into a synthesizer of some sorts, accompanied by wonderful vocals (by Flux himself), this tune goes on to incorporate melodic dubstep, a forte of Flux Pavilion’s. Euphoria-inducing, this is the tune you can chill out to and develop a feel-good vibe. So, without further ado, rest your head back, and sink your teeth in this bad boy ASAP.

P.S – Think he can alter his name to Flux Pa’million‘ now!

Flux Pavilion – Do Or Die (Remixes EP)

http://www.mtvu.com//wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Flux_DoOrDie_1106131.jpg

Deliciously thumpy and one of the mega bosses of dubstep for this decade – Flux Pavilion has collaborated with multi-talented Childish Gambino to provide the much needed comfort of rap.

It seems that this EP album was created with one absolute mission – To blow ones mind and to give you a massive feel good migraine so that your brain explodes into a million little balls of energy. A one of a kind music energy detonation which is nothing short of epic. It seems as though the blonde magician has not just stopped at this but also added a little trap magic from his friend Flosstradamus adding his signature sound to the remix. It’s part of the Do or Die Remix EP which is out now, with remixes from FuntCase and Mully as well. Continue reading →

Flux Pavilion announces that he’s giving up social media, says, “My music is what defines me”

Flux Pavilion has evidently been feeling the pressure of maintaining an active social media presence; the bass music talent announced over the weekend that he’s decided to take a break from all the statuses, posts, tweets, photos & videos and announced that he will be on a hiatus for a while.

In a statement ironically on Facebook, the dubstep producer outlined his feelings:

Flux Pavilion ft. Childish Gambino – Do Or Die (Flosstradamus Remix) [Preview]

Flux Pavillion Do Or Die

It’s always a delight when one genre heavyweight remixes another’s production. Here we’ve got Flosstradamus giving us a remix of Flux Pavillion’s Do Or Die, as part of the Do Or Die Ep out on July 22nd as part of Big Beat Records.

Giving it a massive revamp, this one’s definitely an anthemic destroyer with a major build up and a nasty-as-hell drop. It’s got Childish Gambino’s vocals chopped up and high frequency synths running through out. Huge one this is, and pretty damn hard.

Pre order the EP from iTunes Here.

Flux Pavilion – Blow The Roof

flux

Once again,  Flux Pavilion aims his bass cannon straight at the roof to give us a sneak peak of ‘Blow the Roof’ .

The track brings to mind the effortless genre-mashing of ‘Kill The Noise’ – with some dubstep, and it rides a bouncy, moombah-ish 110 BPM groove — but it resists many of the signifiers of either style.

In fact, the Blow the Roof EP promises to “defy predictability” by incorporating sounds from 8-bit , early rave, and even hip house. You’ll also hear a few rap guest spots, including Childish Gambino on the early stand-out ‘Do or Die.’

Flux Pavilion feat. Childish Gambino – Do or Die

Flux-Pavilion-Do-or-Die

Childish Gambino collaborates with EDM superstar Flux Pavilion, UK’s king of drops. It all started with a few twitter mentions between the two and from then it is history. We bring to you the clean version for now, but expect to hear the CDQ when Flux drops his “Blow The Roof” EP on January 28th 2013.

‘Do or Die’ begins with an upbeat, building instrumental accompanied by some solid bars from Gambino before exploding into the trademarked epic, heavy bass of Flux. Although hip-hop and dubstep have long been intertwined, this joint effort may be one of the strongest of its kind to date.

This track is perfect for your casual Wednesday rage, and comes just in time for the holiday season. Turn this up, sip on some eggnog and get ratchet with Flux and Childish this Christmas, Hanukkah , Eid, Kwanza and New Years!

Access All Areas – A melange of fun, music and dance

Very rarely does there come a point in time when you get to attend a flurry of events on one ticket where you devour the best of talent in dance music in one whirlwind weekend. It is moments like these which make you understand what dance music really stands for. Such was the feeling we experienced at this very unique concept which was brought forth by leading dance music event organizer Submerge and Global Edge.

Their #AAA concept, or Access All Areas bestowed upon a number of fans a chance to witness some of the biggest names in the industry on one ticket. Not only did that one entry band entitle you to a weekend of madness in one city but it also acted as your ticket to attend your favourite DJ’s gig at an entirely different city. It would surely be safe to say, that this extravagant concept had already blown our minds away much before the event.

Bringing the event to a number of prominent cities across India, Submerge truly delivered more than we could have ever asked for. With a line-up boasting of renowned talents such as Caspa, Aly & Fila, Spektre and GMS along with domestic heavyweights including Pearl, Nawed Khan, Ash Roy, Ankytrixx, Nucleya, Ez Riser, amongst others they made sure that the event would be an unforgettable affair for sometime to come.

Just like fans who would want to experience this fantastic concept in it’s entirety, we chose to review one day in Mumbai which saw Aly & Fila and Nawed Khan bring the house down at Royalty while Caspa & Ez Riser gave us a memorable night packed with pulsating monstrous bass music at Bonobo and the other day at the capital, New Delhi where the haven of music, Blue Frog was treated to Spektre and Ash Roy in the courtyard and GMS along with Pearl and Audiogramme in the main club area.

So without further adieu, hit past the break to read up on our take of the colossal experience that was #AAA!
