Linkin Park – Lies Greed Misery (Dirtyphonics Remix)
“I’ma be that nail in your coffin
Sayin’ that I soften
I was duckin’ down to reload
So you can save your petty explanations
I don’t have the patience”
These lyrics are all so familiar if you grew up in the 90s and were a Linkin Park fan. Knowing their style, it is hard to ignore their ‘in your face’ hard hitting lyrics combined with a damn fine rock rhythm. Now the Dirtyphonics mix of their original Lies Greed Misery may seem morbid but is an absolute delight for a drum & bass and rock fan.
For all those who are purists of alternate rock , this track is a refreshing change as it retains a distinct originality combined with a standard exquisite bassline. A pure burst of adrenaline, Lies Greed Misery will make you want to mosh and run through the woods at the same time. Simultaneously underlining the vocals of Chester Bennington (which is hard to do in the first place) the track occupies a unique spot on any playlist.
Linkin Park‘s ‘RECHARGED’ will be out soon on October 29th with a Steve Aoki collaboration and remix duties from a multitude of producers including Paul van Dyk and Datsik.
Skip your morning coffee and sip on some of this!
