Starkillers rants on Avicii; Talks about his collaborative effort on “Bromance”

American DJ and producer Nick Terranova, better known by his stage name Starkillers, recently treated his Twitter followers to a rare lengthy diatribe on another artist. The artist in question was none other than Swedish DJ, remixer, and record producer Tim Bergling aka Avicii. Opening up to fellow American DJ and producer BT, Nick spoke about how Avicii’s first ever released single “Bromance” was indeed a collaboration between Tim and himself.

Terranova first sympathized with BT over his fall out with upcoming DJ/producer Porter Robinson, before revealing how he faced a similar situation four years ago with a then unknown, Avicii. He went on to elaborate how he made Avicii listen to Ray Lynch’s “Celestial soda pop”, a track Terranova’s father would listen to every sunday morning, and how that track became so close for him. They then began to collaborate on the final track of a 16 track album, which he implied to be ‘Bromance’. Unfortunately, Tim had to leave and the track remained unfinished.

Terranova goes on to add that a few weeks later, he heard a similar sounding track on the Beatport chart, only to discover that it was Avicii’s debut single “Bromance”. He then added, that he refrained from any legal action, as he and Avicii shared lawyers and didn’t want any conflict of interest. Terranova also pointed out that his manager decided to shut down the remainder of the album, as the unwanted negative attention could harm Tim’s career.

Nick Terranova then went on to conclude how he is no longer bitter at Avicii, as much as he is at the ‘people around him’, assuming he was talking about Avicii’s management team.

So Starkillers has raised many questions here through his tweets. We’re still awaiting any reply from either BT or Avicii on this controversial confession by Nick Terranova and it awaits to be seen just how much truth is there on these statements.
Watch this space for more & until then enjoy “Bromance” all over again!
