The Sahel region is a belt in Northern Africa stretching from the Red Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. Struck by flooding and droughts in many parts and bad harvests, the people of this region have been living in conditions no humans should have to live in. The Sahel hunger crisis has gone from bad to worse in the last few months.

David Guetta and Usher launched this video of Without You in support of the UN‘s Central Emergency Response Fund that takes action and provides aid during emergency situations all over the world.

The video tells the story of a young boy and his family in Niger through the eyes of two Australians, Will and Georgi. Struggling to survive due to drought and bad harvest is not the story of just this family, it’s the story of all families in Sahel. Through Without You their struggles are portrayed.

The blend of Ushers soulful voice and songwriting and David Guetta’s production in this song perfectly represents what is lacking in this region. Hope and help.
