Black Sun Empire – Arrakis (Noisia Remix)

Black Sun Empire- Arakkis (Noisia Mix)

The  original drum and bass sinner track by Black Sun Empire-  ’Arrakis’ is a class apart. The song taken out of their 2004 album ‘Driving Insane’  now mixed by Noisia takes you to higher ground in the universe while slowly teasing your audio senses and will be released under Blackout Recordings.

Starting off with temple like beats, Arrakis portrays a calm composed aura as it descends into a dark terrain of some hard-core basslines. A hauntingly intense track, Noisia retains the original underlying tone all along combining their own unique screeching waves and and minimalistic echos which cuts through the air of music like a knife through cake.

A drum and bass classic from fellow Dutch producers Black Sun Empire – is available to buy from November 4th on Beatport

Black Sun Empire & Noisia – Feed The Machine

In our effort to bring you a more diverse EDM experience, here is Black Sun Empire teaming up with Noisia to bring you ‘Feed the Machine’. Both are trios based in the Netherlands and veterans in the DnB scene across the globe. Part of Black Sun Empire’s new studio album From the Shadows, which releases on October 15th, the track starts off with heavy and dark synths bringing a very deep tech feel to it and eventually breaking into a typical DnB sound with hints of the deep tech throughout the piece. Usually with a Noisia track you expect a lot more break-beat and glitch to it but it seems like Black Sun Empire had a heavier influence in this number.

Zedd Mumbai

…Whatever happens Mumbai, I promise you, that the next two hours are gonna change your life…

These were the words with which Submerge’s brainchild and India’s premier dance music activist Nikhil Chinapa welcomed Zedd onto the decks at the Pleasuredome at Lalit Hotel in Mumbai. 2nd of June may well be the first day where the rain Gods gave respite from the blistering heat in Mumbai, but it will also be remembered when Zedd raised temperatures and blew the roof off in what is now being titled one of the best dance events this year.

Performances from all 3 days will be streamed globally through UMF TV and UMF Radio.

Besides being the only European edition of the world-renowned Ultra Music Festival next year, ULTRA EUROPE will also be one of the first major events of its kind in Croatia following the country’s expected entrance into the European Union on 1st July 2013. It is also predicted that the ULTRA EUROPE festival will inject more than 20 MILLION EUROS (over 150 MILLION KUNA) into Croatia’s economy over the next 5 years, and is considered to be one of the most important investments in the Croatian tourism and entertainment industry in recent times.

Russell Faibisch – Founder, Executive Producer and CEO of Ultra Music Festival and Ultra Worldwide shared his excitement by saying:

“Electronic music is one of the most popular and fastest growing genres in the world, and the Ultra Music Festival has been recognized as one of the leading festivals of that genre. Taking into consideration the highly developed music scene in Croatia and the excellent reputation of Split and Hvar as top tourist destinations, the decision to bring Ultra Music Festival and the incredible experience it has to offer to Croatia – in the form of Ultra Europe – was an easy one to make. We strongly believe that electronic music fans are acutely aware of what Ultra Music Festival represents and will come in great numbers to share this amazing experience in both Split and Hvar this July”.

Adam Russakoff – Executive Producer, Talent Booker and Director of Business Affairs for Ultra Music Festival and Ultra Worldwide went on to say:

“I’m extremely excited about this new chapter for Ultra and our expansion into the European market. The recent boom in music tourism in that region, coupled with Croatia’s expected entry into the European Union in July 2013, makes perfect sense for us from a business perspective. Concerning talent; whilst we’re not yet at liberty to disclose the finer details regarding specific artists for Ultra Europe 2013 at this stage, what I can say is that since its inception back in 1999, Ultra has always prided itself upon programming the most forward thinking, innovative line-ups any festival in the world has to offer. With regards to Ultra Europe, we have whole-heartedly committed to upholding this tradition and I can personally guarantee that this year’s programme will be no exception.”

Joe Basic, director of Adria MM Production – the Croatian partner and co-organizer of the festival – added:

“Ultra Europe will undoubtedly be one of the most important music events in the region in 2013. There is no question that Ultra Europe will make a significant and positive impact on the region as it looks to attract thousands of music lovers to these historical regions each summer for 3 days of truly world-class electronic music and entertainment.
