Three years after the unveil of their debut effort with ‘Katal Kalaa‘, their newest EP, ‘Khulle Naagde‘ seems like a fiery, bolder and an extravagant multi-lingual showcase of their exceptional talent.
With the onset of ‘Antariksh‘ which flags off the proceedings, Mayur Narvekar offers up a gnarly production work as MC Mawali run riot on this opener with deadly precision. Next comes the unmissable ‘Gol Gol‘ which slams into action from the get go as the superlative record brings together MC Mawali, Maharya, Tod Fod and 100 RBH for a mighty display of power. Having already witnessed their collaborative strength and fluency, tag team efforts of the highest order hit shores with ‘Jhand‘ and ‘Kathore Satya‘ as 100 RBH and MC Tod Fod deliver strong solo punches on their respective cuts.
Backed by Bandish Projekt’s ground shaking sound design which thrives off deep growls and massive shots of bass, ‘Khaari Baat‘ rains lyrical fire upon listeners as the blistering collaboration pulverizes everything in its way. And finally with ‘Raukto De‘, the EP comes to a momentous close as Swadesi and Bandish Projekt shine a light on their constantly evolving sound and sensibility which continues to head in the right direction.
