For a career that has creatively evolved over a decade with numerous record-breaking sold-out shows, platinum-selling original releases, multiple major music award-wins and event firsts, electronic music veteran deadmau5 is now all set to add another prestigious accolade to his extensive list of accomplishments. As announced by Netflix and Constantin Film earlier yesterday, deadmau5 will be creating his first-ever film score for ‘Polar‘, which is set for release next year.
Directed by renowned Swedish director and drummer Jonas Åkerlund with the screenplay written by Jayson Rothwell, ‘Polar’ is based upon the Dark Horse action noir graphic novel ‘Polar: Came From the Cold’ by Victor Santos. The action, mystery and intrigue will be set entirely to a custom body of menacing productions by deadmau5.
The movie will star Mads Mikkelsen (Doctor Strange, Rogue One), Vanessa Hudgens (Spring Breakers, Beastly), Katheryn Winnick (Vikings) and Matt Lucas (Alice In Wonderland, Doctor Who, Little Britain). Moreover, the upcoming score for ‘Polar‘ will mark deadmau5’s first big project since the release of ‘where’s the drop?‘ back in March 2018.
