Unarguably, one of today’s most exciting acts, the talented act has been at the top of his game. And come September 21, San Holo will finally release his first full length album, aptly titled ‘album1’. So without further ado, let’s welcome our Artist of the Month for September 2018, San Holo. Lesser known as Sander van Dijck, the globally loved producer broke into the scene back in 2014 following the humongous success of his viral remix of Dr. Dre’s ‘The Next Episode’. An infectious mix of trap and sugar-coated sounds which quickly found listeners all over the globe, some of his earliest works also consist of his EPs, ‘Corellia’ and ‘Demons’ which were followed by his well-received ‘Cosmos’ EP. Photo Credit: Rukes After making waves in 2014, San Holo kept firing on all cylinders as the Dutch star delivered some thrilling works in 2015 in the form of his ‘Victory’ EP and singles including ‘We Rise’, ‘Can’t Forget You’ with The Nicholas, ‘IMISSU’ alongside FatherDude, and some phenomenal remixes for Porter Robinson, Doja Cat, Tchami, Blur, 50 Cent and Eminem. If 2015 proved to be a breakout year for the young star, San Holo made sure to capitalize on his steadily growing popularity to round up yet another successful year in 2016 as he dished out some seriously impressive releases during the next twelve months which included his ‘New Sky’ EP, a stellar remix of Clams Casino’s ‘I’m God’ and widely popular singles like ‘Alright’ with Yellow Claw, his humongous hit, ‘Light’, and other collaborations with the likes of JAUZ and Cesqeaux. Also known for running his own label, bitbird, the Dutch-based independent imprint has steadily gone on to house some of today’s most exciting acts in electronic music including the likes of DROELOE, Taska Black amongst others. Photo Credit: Rukes Having performed at some of the biggest festivals around the world including Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Tomorrowland and several others in recent years, 2017 saw him come out all guns blazing with multiple singles including ‘The Future’, ‘I Still See Your Face‘, ‘One Thing’ amongst others before surprising listeners out of nowhere with the release of his ‘The Trip’ EP. With 2018 currently underway and what is already shaping up to be the biggest year of his career till date, San Holo has continued to treat everyone to tons of new music over the past nine months. Led by releases like ‘Right Here, Right Now’ with Taska Black, ‘Summertime’ with Yellow Claw, ‘If You Only Knew’ with What So Not and a handful of cuts from his upcoming LP, all eyes are on the supremely talented act himself as he gets ready to unveil his long awaited debut album on September 21st.
