Josh Pan Confirms Skrillex Is Dropping New Music This Year

Skrillex has been on a major touring hiatus since mid 2017, with only a handful of performances ever since. However, the OWSLA head honcho made his return to a major festival with a performance at the Fuji Rock festival in Japan on 28th July (Saturday), warming the stage for Kendrick Lamar‘s headlining performance. Playing a set full of his iconic mashups, classics as well as a bunch of new material, the ‘Bangarang’ producer left no stone unturned for his return to the festival circuit.

Skrillex’s OWSLA label mate, Josh Pan, has now confirmed through his Instagram stories that Skrillex is indeed dropping new music this year. Having already released a number of singles in 2017, while also producing for acts such as The Weeknd, Camila Cabello and Jennifer Lopez, the bass music purveyor’s wildly successful album, Recess, was released back in 2014, and with Diplo claiming a return for Jack Ü after Skrillex finishes work on his new album, the chances of new music from the ‘Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites’ hitmaker in 2018 seems pretty good right now.
