What a month it has been for music! While March saw some stunning releases from The Weeknd, Diplo, Baajewala and more, April turned out to be yet another power packed month for music fans around the world. With the likes of Steve Angello, Drake, Calvin Harris and Dualist Inquiry who put on a spectacular show, we were also treated to some real gems from multiple other Indian artists including RDKL, EchoFloat, Seedhe Maut x Prabh Deep x Sez On The Beat amongst others.

So without further ado, head down below and take a look at the Top 10 Releases of April 2018.

10. Rowan – Lift OffRowan Lift Off

Goa-based producer Rowan has hardly ever put a wrong step forward. And with his latest track, ‘Lift Off‘, he has secured a well deserved spot in our list of Top 10 tracks for April 2018. A vibrant effort courtesy the budding talent which is poised to lift your spirits, Rowan’s knack for crafting heart warming melodies shines through on his brand new creation.

 

9. The Chainsmokers feat. Drew Love – SomebodyThe Chainsmokers Somebody

The Chainsmokers returned to action this April with their latest record, ‘Somebody‘ featuring Drew Love of R&B duo THEY. Boasting of a synth pop-inspired sound that has also played an integral role within their recent releases, the piano-laden jam is led by Love’s stunning vocals before being joined in by Drew Taggart himself. A smooth, radio-ready offering that has already managed to become yet another hit effort from the LA-based duo, ‘Somebody‘ arrives as the next step towards TCS’ ongoing “re-brand“.

Mumbai-based producer EchoFloat aka Jeff Nelson has constantly impressed listeners with his stellar creations, ranging from bass, experimental to ambient in recent years. And come 2018, Jeff Nelson finally delivered his long awaited debut EP, ‘Transmutations‘ whose stellar cut, ‘Morphed Environments‘ finds a well deserved spot in our Top 10. An impressive creation indeed, On ‘Morphed Environments‘, listeners are drawn towards a unique setting which offers a stunning blend of ambient and bass music that has also played an integral role in Jeff’s earlier works.

 

7. RDKL – Deadpan In VanRDKL Deadpan In Van

One of India’s favourite new music collectives, Jwala served up their eighth compilation, ‘Now‘ this April which boasts of four stunning creations courtesy an all-star female lineup which can rival some of the best in the game. And securing a spot in our Top 10 is its brilliant opening track, ‘Deadpan In Van‘ by RDKL.

 

6. Seedhe Maut x Prabh Deep – Class-Sikh Maut Vol. IIPrabh Deep Seedhe Maut Class-Sikh Maut Vol. II

Back in late 2016, New Delhi-based acts Seedhe Maut and Prabh Deep joined forces alongside Sez On The Beat for their raucous collaborative track, ‘Class-Sikh Maut‘. And now, the triumvirate returned to action this April to deliver a humongous follow-up to their previous effort. An impressive showcase of Azadi Records’ firepower, ‘Class-Sikh Maut Vol. II‘ goes on to put the spotlight on the rappers’ impeccable craft which takes center stage on top of Sez’s eclectic production work.
