Porter Robinson has done it again! After revolutionizing the electronic music landscape back in 2014 with his debut album ‘Worlds’, the expectations from the talented act have always remained high. And while the last few years have been scarce in terms of being treated to solo new music from the man himself, he mysteriously returned to action late last month with his newly revealed side project, Virtual Self.
Having already dished out two surreal jams namely ‘Eon Break‘ and ‘Ghost Voices‘ in recent weeks, he has finally presented us with the debut offering from Virtual Self. A brilliant 5-track EP which arrives as a stellar showcase of his world class production abilities, the array of sounds explored by Porter over the course of the proceedings seems like an otherworldly experience. With each track boasting of its own unique sonic identity, the brief, yet one of a kind project from Porter is a cohesive and well-crafted effort which needs to be listened to in its entirety for proper appreciation.
