What a month it has been for music! While October saw some stunning releases from the likes of Martin Garrix, Steve Angello and Jeremy Olander, November has been a wonderful month for music fans around the world! With the likes of Eric Prydz and Kygo who put on a spectacular show, we were also treated to some real gems from multiple Indian artists including Anish SoodSickflip amongst others.

As the month comes to an end, join us as we take a look at the Top 10 Releases of November 2017.

 

1o. Awolnation – Run (What So Not & QUIX Remix)Awolnation Run What So Not & QUIX Remix

To kick things off in proper fashion, What So Not and QUIX finally delivered their hard hitting new remix of Awolnation‘s viral hit ‘Run‘ this month! Unarguably, two of bass music’s hottest talents at the moment, the Australian and New Zealander’s tag team makes sure to fire on all cylinders for a chaotic rework which oozes energy right from the beginning till the very end. An epic buildup which sparks a rise in the tension amongst listeners, the original’s brutal nature reinforces itself with the remix’s trap influences for a raucous and bumpy journey. Rattling its way through, signature lead synths and a healthy dose of bass courtesy QUIX inflicts major damage, while What So Not’s production expertise shines throughout the proceedings.

 

9. Ekali – Past LifeEkali Past Life

Ekali makes his presence felt on our Top 10 list for November 2017 with his latest effort ‘Past Life‘. Not only does the gorgeous track prove to be a stellar showcase of his production abilities, but also blurs out the boundaries between trap and smooth, future R&B. With Opia’s heartfelt vocals which breathes life into the track, the ‘Akira‘ hitmaker makes sure to put his best forward, as he weaves a future bass-inspired soundscape comprising of lush, melodic chords, crisp percussion work and smooth basslines.

 

8. Sickflip – Baile BumpSickflip Baile Bump

November also treated us to the second installment of Indian collective Dasta’s ‘Six Sample Project‘ series. And while the surreal body of work featured original efforts from the likes of EchoFloat, sparkle & fade and more, the track in focus is none other than ‘Baile Bump‘ by SickFlip. The opening track from the compilation provides listeners with a fresh, new outlook towards the Mumbai-based act’s production abilities.

 

7. Diplo & MØ – Get It RightDiplo Get It Right

Diplo hopped back on production duties for a brand new track with ! Titled ‘Get It Right‘, the track was released as part of the soundtrack for Major Lazer‘s ‘Give Me Future‘ documentary. Boasting of an infectious production work led by sparkling piano notes and MØ’s gorgeous vocals, the track brings its surroundings to life with a future bass-inspired drop that sounds like yet another step in the direction of new age pop.

 

6. Anish Sood feat. Zach Sorgen & Kelechi – Starry NightAnish Sood Starry Night

Indian dance music mainstay Anish Sood kicked off the roll out for his highly awaited debut album ‘Future Perfect‘ earlier this month with the release of its first single ‘Starry Night‘. A smooth jam featuring guest vocals from Zach Sorgen and Kelechi, Anish puts his pop and funk influences to proper use for a fresh record which oozes good vibes from start to finish.

 

5. Blindnight feat. Ustad Kitty – Fruity PieBlindnight Fruity Pie

For Bengaluru-based collective Consolidate‘s 10th release, Blindnight aka Suren Makkar rose to the occasion with his debut 7-track EP Where Is The Fire?. And the track in focus is ‘Fruity Pie‘ with Ustad Kitty which stole the spotlight quickly after the EP’s initial release. With Ustad’s smooth lyrical flow which effortlessly seams in together his social commentary on beauty culture with Suren’s mystically dark instrumental, ‘Fruity Pie‘ stands out as one of the most interesting releases of November.

 

4. Solomun – AmanacerSolomun Amanacer

Solomun returned to action earlier this month with his new track ‘Amanacer’. Favoured by a rolling melody overlaid by the main hook throughout, it has subtle beats making the track a memorable one. The arp-led mellow vibe comes off Solomun’s signature sound and would easily make anyone on the dance floor groove in no time.

 

3. Tonja Holma – Spanish DelightTonja Holma Spanish Delight

While Eric Prydz might be coming off the back of a rather slow year when it comes to releasing new music, he certainly managed to satiate fans’ hunger with the release of the debut Tonja Holma EP this November. Undeniably one of his more mysterious aliases, the brand new release also treated fans to the brilliant cut ‘Spanish Delight‘ which showcases Prydz’s wonderful production dexterity in the most mellifluous manner possible.

 

2. Kygo feat. One Republic – Stranger ThingsKygo Stranger Things

What an amazing month it has been for Kygo! With the monumental release of his sophomore album ‘Kids In Love‘, we were also treated to his stunning collaboration with One Republic. Titled ‘Stranger Things‘, the spellbinding track is a masterful creation which sees Kygo lend his piano laden production work to band frontman Ryan Tedder for him to work his magic upon. Led by dreamy melodies and Ryan’s ethereal vocals, the proceedings move forward quickly towards an uplifting pop-friendly drop.

 

1. Pryda – Stay With MePryda Stay With Me

Taking the #1 spot is Eric Prydz with his monster release ‘Stay With Me‘ which was unleashed by the Swedish heavyweight under his Pryda moniker earlier this month. A quintessential Pryda production, with a thumping bassline, trance-esque synths, driving snare lines and vocal samples which all culminate into a hypnotic listening experience, as expected from any top notch creation courtesy the man himself, his latest track has effortlessly managed to live up to the hype and beyond!
