Shah Rukh Khan‘s latest movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal‘ is set to be released this Friday, August 4! And while movie buffs are anxiously waiting to rush to theaters to catch the King of Bollywood in action, music fans around the globe are in for a special treat too. With the recent confirmation of the highly awaited Diplo-produced track which was teased earlier by SRK himself, the Mad Decent boss man’s debut Bollywood stint is set to land on August 3.

But wait, there’s a catch! The brand new track titled ‘Phurr!‘ which will be released a day early will not be available for free to listeners. As per reports, only paid subscribers on streaming services can treat themselves to the latest jam. While fans can buy the track off platforms like iTunes, the latest move is set to mark the beginning of a new era on how Indians consume music. A highly interesting decision by Sony Music, Shridhar Subramaniam, president India and Middle East, Sony Music Entertainment, also talked about the move saying:

“There are 50-60 million people who are listening to music on streaming services every month in India, so there has been a mass migration of people to these platforms. They key thing is, at some point, this whole thing needs to become sustainable, for music services, record companies and for artistes which is possible only if consumers start paying for the music. That’s a transition we, as an industry and consumers will have to make.”
